Work history.
My career has taken many shapes over the years. It began straight out of college with a finance degree and I spent some time working for a few small companies learning the ropes of that industry. It didn’t take long for me to step outside of the world of finance and to go to work for a family run start-up. Having seen the excitement, struggles, and inner workings of that company for almost 10 years I left to partner up with a friend and we launched our own small business from scratch. For the next 10 years, we learned each day what it truly meant to be an entrepreneur. We were fortunate to be approached by an out of state company looking to enter into our marketplace and ended up with the successful sale of our business to cap off an unforgettable 10 year journey.
My experiences learning about small business as an employee then eventually to become a small business owner myself were invaluable. I look forward to sharing my experiences with those exploring their own career decisions and doing the best I can to help others decide the path that is best for them based on my own personal real-world experiences as an entrepreneur.

It’s estimated that 75% of the adult population has the desire to be self-sufficient (most are scared to death about owning their own business), and only about 5% are ready, willing, and able to act on that desire. Many don’t ever begin to explore the possibility of making their dreams a reality because of the fear of failure, even when they have been successful at everything they have done in past. I am a Coach specializing in helping my Clients move beyond the fear of change by creating a safe space for them to explore their options and learn about ways to take control of their career, make more money and enjoy the myriad of benefits that come with business ownership. As a business owner, I have been able to achieve my goals of great flexibility, independence, and financial success. I am very familiar with this journey that I describe here, since I was a client of a very understanding and patient career coach. This journey is not for everyone, but for those who want to really explore “possibilities” beyond their education and experiences, it can be a very productive, fun and a rewarding adventure.
